To succeed any social media strategy, you need to invest great daily efforts. It's not something you can build once and forget about it, but as social media is changing constantly you need to keep refining your strategies to get the best of it. What worked last year may not work this year, so you need to keep testing new tips to always improve your social media performance.

Here is a list of some social media tips that will help you build strong social media presence.

1. Use images in social media to increase engagement and boost conversion. Social media users like images because they grab their attention before paying any attention to content. So, make sure that you always use images.

2. Don’t stick to only one type of content, but try always to mix. Try for instance to include long form narratives, images, links, polls…etc. You will never expect what content will perform better.

3. When you are interested in sharing videos on Facebook, make the Fabook’s video a priority instead of other video bases such as Youtube. This will boost your views and indirectly the engagement.

4. Keep an eye on your social media analytics and insights to learn what type of your content is generating more engagement. When you have the information, you can try to share more of that sort of content.

6. No matter what social media network you are using, don’t forget to use CALL TO ACTION. This will guide your fans to know what you expect from them to do next.

7. Never cheat your social media fans and followers. Be sincere and transparent to stand from the competition.

8. When you download photos to your profiles, make sure that you are using clear images that represent your brand. Never, ever, mix your personal photos with your brand images especially bathroom-like photos. Be professional!

9. The most important in social media is to target your fans’ humanity. Invest time and efforts to build relationship with them and keep feeding that relationship. This way, they will help you grow and build strong presence.

10. Your social media profiles can be a channel to promote your products or services, but don’t overdo that. Add value to your followers by sharing valuable content and information that would help them. It’s not always about you, but most importantly about them, and how to help.

11. Engage with your fans. Don’t build a deaf-mute profile. Be human and comment and answer your followers’ questions and help them solve any issues they raise.

12. On Twitter, don’t forget to use tips that can help increase your retweets such as image use, mentions. Also, make sure that you use Hashtags to grab attention of people with similar interest like you.

13. On LinkedIn. Make sure that you update your page; most importantly when you are a B2B company. Potential customers will go there to get more information about you and your business. So, make sure that your page reflects well your business.

14. To increase your social sharing and bring your content in front of new followers, make sure that you share it in different times over the day. 

15. It’s not sufficient to share other people’s content without adding your insights about it. To enrich your social media experience, make sure that you add your views about others’ content you share and build authority in the field.

16. You can also use social media as a channel to help your email marketing plans. You can use social media to grow your email list.

17. Regardless of social media network you are using, try to be consistent. This should include your voice, colors, images, and all content available on your social media.

18. When you implement social media efforts, try to understand that your strategy is helping your general marketing strategy to accomplish sales and business goals. Think if your social media efforts really fit your general strategy.

19. Avoid being a faceless brand, and instead try to be more personal on social media because people are likely to make business with people they know. Tell some stories and share opinions to let followers know that there’s a personal person behind.

20. You can have a social media profile in all social media networks, but not all of them fit your business and even if they do, you may not do well in all of them. So, choose two to three social media networks and focus on building your authority. Better to be stand strong in three, than having six but poorly performing in all of them.
